Someone did not like Santa! She was fine until she had to sit in his lap, It made for one cute picture though. This Wednesday I am taking Kynli with a couple of my girlfriends and their girls to breakfast with Santa. Let's hope she and the girls don't scream the whole time, at least they will look cute in their matching shirts Mom made!

A Shadow

Last Sunday we took a walk to Julian's old middle school so he could launch a rocket he got for Christmas a couple years ago. While Daddy and Bubba were setting it up Kynli found her shadow for the first time! It was so neat to watch her discover and play with it. Wonder what she was thinking? Hummmm... Wish I could get in her kittle head sometimes.
On a side note the rocket did not launch and we are going to go try again tomorrow, I'll let you know how it works out!

Long Time No Blog!

It's been 7 months since I last posted here! Wow, where have I been? I have let 7 months just slip away. Kynli is now a sassy 19 month old and Julian is well... A teenage high-school freshman testing his limits! This weekend he went to his first homecoming dance. I will have to update on how our summer went on a later date, I just figured out that there was an app for my phone that I could blog from so I had to test it out!

Can't believe my baby girl is already a year old, where has the time gone! The last year has been such a crazy whirlwind and it has gone by too fast. I remember like it was just yesterday bringing her home and being so afraid that I would do something wrong and mess her up some how.... That feeling I don't think ever goes away. She is now walking and saying some words like Momma, Daddy or dada, bubba and uh-o (when she drops things), she has a little mind of her own to go with her little temper! She just loves Julian and when he is here she does not want to have anything to do with anyone else besides him, it is rather cute to watch. Her new favorite trick is to feed sophie (our dog) her food when she is eating dinner and sophie stands around waiting for the scraps and if you try to tell her "no" boy you better be ready for a little fit throwing ( We will have to work on that)... Hope everyone is doing well, here are a few pictures from her birthday and when I get time I will post more... Love to all!

Sorry I have not posted in a while, can you believe this little one keeps me so busy I can't even update our family blog (wink, wink)? Kynli is growing like a weed, she is 7 months old weighs almost 20lbs and is crawling. She started crawling last week and is now trying to pull up on everything. When I get a little more time I will add more pictures to a slide show and post it. She is really growing fast and I can't believe that last year this time we were about to find out if she was a boy or a girl! It still amazes me that she was in my tummy last year! Love to all

Kynli Hazel is 5 Months Old!

I really can not believe how fast Kynli is growing, she gets bigger and bigger every day! It is hard to believe this time last year I was pregnant with her and wondering if she was a boy or a girl! TJ and I are very blessed!

Some things she is doing....
She loves to look at her self in the mirror.
She laughs at all the funny faces and noises we make.
She is eating cereal twice a day.
She is starting to sit up with some support, but not much.
She has rolled over. (She did this 5 times in one day and then that was it. Think she just likes it better on her back.)
She grabs hold of her toys and plays with them.
She reaches for our face when we are holding her.
She makes the cutest noises when she is talking to her toys. (I can not wait to see what her actual voice will sound like when she starts talking)

The funniest thing I think she does is when we are playing with her and doing the same thing over and over again she is starting to anticipate that we are going to do it. It is too funny.

Kynli's 4 Months Old!

My how times flies! I can't believe our baby girl is already 4 Months old, she is getting so big. She loves to lay on her playmat and play with the toys hanging above her and she is about master rolling from her back to front. She gets to the side and tries but gets stuck. She loves to laugh at her daddy when he makes funny faces and the other night her and i had a laugh off. I would laugh and then she would laugh right back, too bad we did not get that on tape it was too funny. Her little personality is starting to show through. Her crying has slowed down a lot but she still gets her self worked up and when she does you better watch out (ear plugs please!).

Her 4 month check up is on Tuesday and I can't wait to see how much she has grown since her 2 month check up. Hope everyone is well! We love you

Kynli is growing so fast, we went to the Dr. on Monday for her 2 month check up and shots. She weighs 11 lbs 2 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long! I can not believe that she is already 2 months old, it just seems like yesterday we were bringing her home.

Sorry it has been a while since we updated our blog, we have been pretty busy with our new little addition. Kynli is getting so big and I can not believe that she is already a month old. She already has a little personality of her own and I am sure that little personality will just get bigger and bigger! 8 Month update!

This week starts off the parade of baby showers my wonderful friends have lined up for me. First up my dear special education teacher friends (they are much more than just teacher friends)will have a baby shower for Miss Kynli this Wednesday and I am super excited!!! The next week on the 4th, work is having a diaper and wipe shower for us to get us stocked up on diapers! The Saturday following that my dear friend Terri is giving me a shower with all of my sweet Bunko girlfriends. On the 13th my sweet friends Linda and Priscilla are throwing a shower at Iguana Joe's for us. Then last but not least on the 21st my sweet friends Jaclyn, Alisha, Bethany and Erin are throwing a shower for us. I am feeling the love from everyone and all of my friends have gone above and beyond to make sure that we will be stocked up when our little Kynli arrives, we are truly blessed!

Here is a 8 month picture of my growing belly (not the best but it will do), I don't know how much bigger it can get, we shall see!

7 Month Updade and 3D/4D ultrasound

Wow time is flying by. TJ and I registered at Babies R Us and Target this month, he started working on fixing up Kynli's room and hopefully will be finished by tomorrow. Today we did our 3D/4D ultrasound and hopefully next week we will go get her furniture and put it together. Before we know it she will be here!

Today at our ultrasound appointment we were hoping to see her sweet face head on to see who she will look like but she already has a mind of her own. She was folded in half with her feet and arms in front of her face so we only could get side views of her even after I got up and did some exercises to get her to move. The ultrasound tech said she looks like she has an oval face with, long eyelashes and a pointed chin (hummm wonder if it will have a dimple in it? I guess we will have to wait and see)she even has some hair already. She is about 3 lbs already and is measuring right on schedule and even ahead two days. TJ says if she is as stubborn as I am he is in for it, I disagree I say it is the other way around. We will see!

Here is a little 6th month update.....
TJ has finally been able to feel her move (Yes he was the first one) along with my Mom and my Sister-in-law! It was way cool to see their faces when they got to feel what I have been feeling for a while. Monday night when TJ got home I was laying in bed reading when I saw something move, I called TJ up and had him sit and watch my belly along with me and when he SAW it move he was beside himself! This is such a fun and wonderful time for us, we can't wait until she is here. We have also pretty much decided on a name, lets say we are 95% sure but don't hold us to it! If all goes as planned her name will be Kynli! Here is a picture of my growing belly! Hope you enjoy! Love to all

Almost halfway there! We find out the sex of the baby on October 28th and we can hardly stand it. We are so ready to find out what we are going to have so we can pick names and all that fun stuff. Baby Bump Week 15 (Almost 4 months)

Last week we heard the baby's heartbeat and it was so special. We will find out in about 5 weeks if we will have a sweet girl or Stinky boy! I really don't care either way! TJ would like a girl and Julian would like a boy! We will see who will win that battle!

And here is the proud father and the little bump! He asks to see the baby almost every morning when I leave for work and he is still in bed asleep. It is too cute!

We get to hear the heartbeat in two days and I am so excited. One of my friends (Alisha) told me I should go get one of those little recording devices you can put in a build a bear and record it, so we are. After we have recorded the heartbeat and find out if it is a boy or a girl we will go make the baby's first Build A Bear... So exciting! Love to all!

TJ and I went to the Dr. again today for our first OB appointment and I am 9 weeks and 2 days. We still did not get to hear the heart beat but we did see it beating! It is so amazing how much it has grown in 3 weeks! Our next appointment is on September 9th and we should be able to hear the heart beat then. We will keep you posted.

Well we have an official Due date of March 17, 2010! The Dr. did say he reserved the right to change the date at any time which I thought was funny he said that. Like TJ and I did not know that most babies are not actually due on their due date! Funny stuff. Today was our first visit, they did an ultrasound and we saw the little dot and heart beat. We could not hear it yet, I am actually one week less pregnant than we thought. We had calculated that I was 7 weeks today but the baby is looking more like 6 weeks. I will go back in two weeks to have another ultrasound and to have my first "official" OB appointment. Exciting stuff! Here is our very first picture of our little Nguyen!

We are going to have a little surprise next spring when we bring a new NGUYEN into our family! TJ and I are very excited and have been dreaming of this day for a little over three years now! This morning I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Whooo Hooo. I could not believe my eyes and just kept looking at it to make sure I was seeing it right.

This afternoon we went to Target to get Julian a skin board and some snorkeling stuff for the beach (by the way we are in Florida visiting my family and will be back next Monday)and TJ wanted me to get another pregnancy test to take so we did and yep, it was still the same!

Family update!

First I want to say we had a wonderful Easter weekend! Crawfish 2 days in a row makes TJ and Julian very happy! Wish I had some pictures to share of our Easter weekend but we were too busy eating crawfish and visiting with family to even pull out the camera! Maybe next time!

Second, I have picked up several new hobbies since our last post. TJ bought me sewing/embroidery machine that I have been trying to figure out and I have also been going to Stampin up parties once a month. Little Crafty Girl.... Hummm that sounds good, maybe a 2nd blogg for me in the making?? You will have to wait and see....

Other than that TJ and I have been busy around the home front cleaning and trying to keep it up with our busy schedule. Julian is doing well in school, I’m ready for summer and TJ loves playing golf! Hope all is well! Love to all

Geocaching

We went Geocaching with our friends The Patton's today and it was a wonderful day! We looked for 7 cache's or as I call them treasures and found 6. Not to bad for a days work. If you don't know what Geocaching is, it is a fun game of hide and seek. People hide little boxes, film canisters, etc. and give you the coordinates you then plug them in to a GPS system and it takes you to the spot or right around the spot. Some have hints on how to find them others don't but it is still fun. If you have not tried it you have to. Sometimes the container is big enough to leave little trinkets in and when you leave a trinket you can take one, others are just big enough for a piece of paper where people leave there name and where they are from. If you want to try it out TJ and I will even lend you our GPS system so you can find a couple and see how you like it.
Go to www.geocaching.com and type in your zip code and look to see if you have any around you. They are all over the world. Next time we go out of town I want to pull up some and look for them while we are there.

Boy Meets Gravel......

TJ and Julian went to the driving range on Saturday and when they came back home Julian looked like this!

The first story I got was that Julian had gotten into a fight with a kid that hit him on the head with a golf club. Julian had said he won the fight by punching the kid in the stomach (not like Julian at all). My first question was "how old was the kid", Julian said "I don't know", so I questioned even more. "Was he older? Younger?" and Julian said "younger", I was just about to get on to him and then the real story came out! Leave it up to TJ to concoct a story like that....

The "Real" story....
Julian was in the back of TJ's truck waiting for TJ to get finished saying good-bye to his friend. When he was done he asked Julian to get out of the back of the truck so they could leave. When Julian got out he leaped out instead of just stepping over and slipped off the back bumper and went face first into the gravel. We are lucky nothing was broken, just a little scratched up.

We had a busy Christmas this year like we always do.... Christmas Eve we went to my Mom's and Grandparent's house, Christmas Day we went to TJ's Moms for a while and then we headed over to his Dad's house. A very Busy couple of days but well worth it, we got to spend time with everyone that was here in Texas.

WOW! When I got home today it had just started snowing and figured it would not last long..... 3 hours, dinner, and a cup of hot chocolate later.... Still snowing and it is sticking to the ground! Colorodo eat your heart out, we even made a miniture snowman! Hope my kids at school were able to experience this!

As most of you know I have officially started my Thanksgiving break, Yeah! I know, I know, I was just off for two weeks with IKE but that was WAY different. This much needed break will give me time to recharge my battery which is running low. Julian has two more days of school and then he is off for the rest of the week. I had to tease him this morning because I am off and he still has to go to school. I know MEAN MEAN step-mom! Oh well, I thought it was funny!

We are looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with the family, and just relaxing for a while. Minh and Vi-An will come stay with us for a couple of days and I am sure TJ will take them to do something on Friday while I shop. Vi-An has already put her request in for paintball, we will have to see about that!

We had visitors this summer!

First TJ's brother and sister (Minh and Vi-An) stayed with us for a week. This was the second year we did this. Last summer when they came we were having major work done in our house because of a water leak and they were pretty much confined to upstairs. We did not get out very much except for one day of Schlitterbahn. This year No major house issues going on so they were able to have much more fun. Vi-An and I got to shop, TJ took them to tubing and to play paintball. I would like to say that their favorite part was tubing and paintball but I think it was getting to sleep in and watching whatever (within limits) they wanted on TV. It was a fun week for all of us.......

Our next guest was my Dad. We had a fun time visiting with him and we even went to an ASTRO's game...... We had Annalise our friends daughter while Dad was visiting and they had a blast playing together. Julian and Dad had fun playing bowling and Tennise on the Wii, even though Julian kicked his BUT!

Okay...... a couple of my friends have these blog sites now on blogger.com and I love getting their updates and seeing pictures of their families, So I thought what the heck we should have one too. So I started thinking I can't do My Space because it seems too public and creepy and husband says absolutely NOT! So here we are... Well here I am for a while until I can convince Mr. TJ that this will be fun!

I am hoping this will be a way to keep in touch with our friends and family that we don't see that often and then share some fun stuff that may or may not be going on in our lives. I don't know how often we or I will post, we will just have to see how it goes.
